Dr. Ezio Manzini, Social Innovation Advisor

He is one of the most important thinkers in design today . He is a professor of Industrial Design at Milan Polytechnic University, a Director of DESIS (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability)-Network. Manzini’s works are based on strategic design and design for sustainability, with a focus on scenario building and solution development. He acknowledges the influential role design can play in changing our ways of thinking.

Dr. MiaoSen Gong, Social Innovation Advisor

He is an Associate Professor at School of Design, Jiangnan University. He is also a co-coodinator of DESIS-China network. He got a PhD degree in design at Politecnico di Milano in 2010 and was a visiting scholar at MIT in 2009. His research interest focuses on Design for Sustainability, Design for Social Innovation, Strategic Design and Service Design.  

Dr. Jurgen Faust, Design Thinking Advisor

He is a design professor who has worked in four different countries as a Professor for Design, Theory and Media as well as an administrative Dean. He is a co-founder of a private university in Germany, and a developer of many undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of fields.  

Dr. Dayle Smith, Design Thinking Advisor

As the associate Dean of School of Business, University of San Francisco, she directs the Business Honors Cohort Program in addition to teaching Organizational Change, Global Management, Business Strategy in the EMBA and MBA programs. She incorporates Design Thinking in her teaching. She has 2 years of experience working with IDEO, Experience Point to develop a Design Thinker Simulation (a software program).  

Mr. Scot Frank, Design Thinking Advisor

Scot is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of One Earth Design. He has worked as a computer scientist in IBM’s India Research Lab and has managed the renewable energy portfolio for the Clinton Global Initiative. He has taught design courses, led project teams, and built partnerships in the Himalayan region since 2005. He holds electrical engineering and computer science degree from MIT, and has won the first price in the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2010 for the affordable portable solar concentrator SolSource.  

Dr. Ka Kui Tse, Social Entrepreneurship Advisor

He is the current chairman of the newly incorporated Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum. The first member of the Ashoka Support Network in Hong Kong since September, 2007. He co-founded with Patrick Cheung in 2008 a new social enterprise, DiD (HK) Ltd., to bring Dialogue in the Dark to Hong Kong and China.

 

Mr. Alex Kung, Strategic Planning Advisor

He is certified Master NLP Trainer and Master Coach, also an owner of an IT company based in India. Expert in Design Thinking, Computer engineering, Information Technology and Life Coaching. Two years experience in coaching secondary and University students, ran a pilot education program in Ghana before.  

Prof. Baniel Cheung, Marketing Advisor

He is currently the Executive Director of Integral Consultancy Limited and the Managing Director of Integral Communications Limited. His major duties include assisting clients to provide management consultancy service, develop strategic plan and marketing strategy, conduct corporate training, design marketing research and handle brand building.
